1V Inquiry

What this means to me is asking or looking for information about a specific topic to help me better understand what I am trying to figure out. In the class I believe that I am going to take in a lot of information. I think I will also lean how to better ask questions and therefor further my knowledge of many different topics and subjects.
Synergy - The interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
This relates to my studies because I am going to have to cooperate with other people to have a greater outcome in our work.
Transitioning - undergo or cause to undergo a process or period of transition.
This relates because I am transitioning into college life and its different because i am living in a dorm and not at home and the way teachers teach is different.

1I College Problems

At the health center I learned that college students face a lot of different problems, one of the biggest problems that we face though is that we have a lot of stress put on us. I think the stress is caused from having to make a lot of adjustments in order to fit in with the college life. For me, a big part of it is having to do everything online. I find it a lot easier to do written work then type everything and having to post it on many different sites. I have learned that different professors use many different websites, such a ColoState, blackboard, the southern website and this Google blog. I would find it a lot easier if everyone used the same website. This causes me stress.

1B Your Blog and Your Personal Blogging Style

I have looked at and read a lot of different blogs. Some of them have been the same with just people expressing what they are thinking or how they feel. On the other hand, there have also been a lot of different styles people have taken using their blog to try to be different and stand out from everybody else. I don't really like how a lot of people just have these small blogs about the same thing and they share with everyone what's going on in their life. What I did like though, looking through a lot of blogs is that people include links for you, to things that are very interesting and things you actually enjoy ready about. It can be about the most random things that you wouldn't think that you would find interesting. Since I am new to blogging for my first blog I kept it pretty simple when it came to expressing myself.  As the year goes on I want my blogs to get more advanced and more in depth into what I really want to say. A goal that I am setting for myself as a blogger is to try to pick out the most important things of what I want to say. Doing this will just make the blog more interesting and give the whole overall blog a better look. How I will make these blogs more interesting for others to read is that I will include more pictures in my blogs and also put in interesting links relating to what I am talking about so the reader can gain more knowledge from me. If people actually take the time to read my blog, I don't want them to be bored. Keeping them interesting will make people want to read what I have to say, and come back and read my blogs in the future.

1A Setting the Tone

I think college is a time for you to learn about yourself and find out who you really are. What going to college accomplishes, is you getting a good job in your future. For me being a college student academically means that I am trying to to better my learning, and make myself smarter for what still has to come in my future.  Socially it means that I am trying to meet as many new people as I can and make good friendships. Out of these friendships I could establish a network of friends that could help me find a job, or I could help them out later on in the future. Personally for me going to college is something that I'm really happy about and it makes me proud of myself that I am trying to better myself. Some goals I have for this year are to try to get all B's in  my classes and make a lot of new friendships, and continue working hard. So far I don't have any questions for this or any of my classes yet because were only a few days in but I'm sure I'll have some further on in the year. An impression I had of this class is that it seems like the kids in the class are nice kids and that we'll all get along fine and work together well. The first thought that comes to mind when I think of how my first year of college is going to go is that I'll make new friends and have a lot of fun with them. Most importantly I will work hard and make sure all of my grades stay good. It is very important to me to be successful in college, and I plan on working hard to accomplish this.
